LITIGATION AND ARBITRATION

The Firm has been extensively engaged in the resolution of Civil, Criminal (economic offences), Commercial and Constitutional Law disputes through litigation in the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts in India and several other courts, tribunals including National Company Law Tribunal and appellate tribunals including National Company Law Appellate Tribunal and has conducted arbitrations, mediations and negotiations on behalf of its clients within and outside India.
The Firm assists its clients in determining a dispute resolution strategy and also in advising them on litigation risks involved in their matters, endeavouring to safeguard and promote their best interests. The Firm also assists its clients in drafting necessary pleadings and statements, liaising with specialized counsel and regularly attending hearings in various courts along with specialised counsel.
The Firm has also been involved in various complex mergers, de-mergers and insolvency and bankruptcy matters.
The Firm has also represented leading corporate houses and multinationals before the Securities & Exchange Board of India and the Securities Appellate Tribunal, including with regard to complex securities litigation. Some of the Firm’s members appear before special courts including, the Company Law Board, the Customs Authority, Monopolies & Restrictive Trade Practices Commission, Telecom Disputes Settlement & Appellate Tribunal, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal, Consumer Redressal Forum, Revenue Tribunals and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
